Philips 40 8606 led tv
Great tv which is as good as any other products in the same price bracket.
Great looking tv and picture quality is the best.
Sound is good but i am not impressed with the speakers in the stand and used as a wall mount its not the best way of securing your tv to a wall.
Also a poor selection of apps with no BBC Iplayer and no flash support.
Customer support is very professional but what lets it down is lack of knowledge regarding the product and no answer to my questions about Iplayer.Ambi light is better than before and has a nice effect when used as i room light.

Excellent quality all round
I love this TV. It looks fantastic, has awsome picture quality and its sound system is good too. The App I downloaded to my smart phone which turns it into a full remote control is class. I never get tired of turning it off from upstairs when it gets left on with nobody watching it!
I haven't actually used the 3D function for it as the glasses are pretty expensive so can't comment on that.
As for the Smart functions, I am a little disappointed that I can't get BBC i-player to work.
One really good feature though is when you plug in a phone or camera via HDMI and you can flick through pictures using the TV remote! How clever!

Great product but missing essential functions
This TV has a superb picture and the overall build quality is excellent. It does however miss a few nice little design features such as if you use the Philips linked dvd player and then turn both the player and the TV off, the TV when it is switched back on does not look at the hdmi inputs for activity and then sits and looks at you telling you that there is no video signal, forcing you to manually go into the elaborate menu and change the hdmi input to be able to watch tv.
Unusual for Philips as they are normally pretty sharp in this kind of area.
