The demand for MRI in relation to Alzheimer’s disease is rising. More than 55 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer’s disease, and this number is expected to increase to 139 million by 2050 [1]. Recent advancements in treatment require ongoing MRI scans to monitor patients and assess for possible Alzheimer’s-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA) [2]. At least four additional MRI scans are required in the first 12 months of treatment for safety monitoring [2,3]. Challenges are now emerging related to access to MRI equipment and staff shortages.
