Good but no headphone socket
Love the design and sound is great. Only problem is that website bought from said it had headphone socket, but it doesn't. Annoying as cant listen late at night unless I plug them in to iPod/ ipad but wanted it for CDs too.Sure they would give refund but like it enough to keep.

Good sound. Shame it does not support gapless audio CDs
The sound from this player is extremely good and the features comprehensive. Apart from one glaring omission. The CD player does not support 'gapless' audio CDs such as Dark Side of the Moon, operas etc. So there is a distinct hiccup on each track change which makes it unlistenable. We returned ours.
If you are not fussed by not being able to play gapless CDs then buy one, by all means.
Another niggle is that although the remote has numbered buttons from 0-9, as far as I can see there is no use for them. It would have been nice to be able to preset button 1 to be, say, Radio 1.

Excellent sound, not sure about the "wood" effect
Extremely good sound that is never harsh or unpleasant, unlike some rivals. You can have it on in the background and when you notice it, you always think "that sounds good". And the sound is the most important thing in a music system, surely.
My wife is not keen on the wooden finish which either looks old-fashioned or retro depending on your point if view.
DAB reception is much better than a portable DAB radio we have in the kitchen, even using the built-in aerial, and a co-ax lead is supplied so you can use an external aerial if needed.
